Community grants and garden installations have NOT been canceled in 2020, hurray! Three recent grant recipients, SECU Family House, Happy Hill Clock Tower, and St. Leo School have put in initial plantings and are looking fabulous.

Also, the city will soon be planting 26 Kousa Dogwoods along Silas Creek Parkway between Yorkshire Road and Pennington Lane as part of a grant provided to Forest Garden Club’s Silas Creek Parkway Project. These 26 trees are phase 1 of this project; 113 more trees are needed to complete the project. Trees with watering gators are $120 each and the city will install them. If you or your club is interested in helping with this larger project, let us know at [email protected].
