The Garden Boutique at Reynolda Village is open Monday-Saturday from 10:00 am-5:00 pm.
The Carolina Farm Stewarship Association is hosting its First Annual Triad Farm Tour June 7 and 8, 2014 from 2:00-6:00 pm. Seventeen local farms will be available for viewing. Advance tickets are $25 per car for all farms. Tickets can be purchased at the Old Salem Cobblestone Farmers Market, 800 South Main Street on Saturdays and at other locations in Greensboro and Burlington.
The farm tour organizers advise everyone to “bring a cooler” — you’ll be able to buy produce, eggs, cheese, meat and other products at many of the farms.
There will be red tomato signs to help you get to your destination.
Since there are 17 farms in total, you may want to pick 2-4 farms to visit each day.
At farms with animals, you will be asked to wash your hands and sanitize your feet upon arriving and leaving each farm. You may be asked to disinfect your shoes or wear booties at farms with livestock to prevent farm-to-farm transmission of germs that stick to your shoes.
