Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful needs our help judging flower beds around town. Judging will take place on three Wednesdays this summer:

Wednesday, June 30, from 9 am-4 pm (*updated date)
Wednesday, July 29, from 9 am to 4 pm
Wednesday, August 26, from 9 am to 4 pm

  • This will be a full-day commitment, from 9 am to 4 pm, and will be loads of fun – driving around town looking at beautiful flower beds in our community.
  • You may sign up for one, two, or all three dates, no experience necessary.
  • You will drive yourself (in your own car) to the various locations with directions provided by George Stilphen of KWSB (he will contact you closer to your sign-up date).
  • You’ll be outside, so social distancing is easily accomplished.

Every spring and summer, Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful partners with the Garden Club Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, and the Vegetation Management Division of the city, to provide free plants to neighborhood associations and other groups to plant in right of way beds usually at entrances to neighborhoods and parks. KWSB, the city, and the Garden Club Council judge these beds during the summer and provide awards in the fall.

Below are pictures of last year’s award winners – enjoy, and thank you for helping keep Winston-Salem beautiful!
